Does anyone know where to get a good tab or lesson on killing me softly?

I know this song, but no tabs, sorry ?? But I know that Rob Ickes is making a new Mike Aluldridge course at BigMusicTent. And he collects the requests for the songs, so maybe he will make the lesson on this song ;-)

If you are lusting after the Auldridge classic version, he dropped the 6th string G to E for that tune. :-)

Here is Mike with a medley that includes This Ain't Grass. Both done (as Howard indicated) in drop E.

Thanks. I did not mean to imply a weird tuning. It is open G tuning with the 6th string dropped to an E.

Howard, I feel that calling EBDGBD G6 tuning is at least misleading and borderline incorrect. With the 6th on the bottom you don’t hear any of the sweet voicings of Western swing or Hawaiian music using conventional 6th tunings. Em7 is a more accurate label with the E underneath it all, but drop E is what I like to call it because like drop D for guitar, it conveys what it is: regular tuning with the low string dropped to E.

Don’t get me wrong Howard, you’re a big boy and you call it what you want. Perhaps Mike called it G6, I don’t know. All I know is I spend most of my time playing in that realm and that’s what my mind has settled on.

We'll discuss over a beverage!

That'll give me time to hone my arguments.....

Henrich is a fine player.

I haven't purchased the tab - but I will assume that he plays  it in Drop E like Mike because he also offers This Ain't Grass, which is the second part of the medley from Mike's second solo album, Blues and Bluegrass. I looked up Henrich's videos and I couldn't find one for Killing Me Softly.

I've been  playing my own half a$$ed version of Softly for several years in Drop E. This tuning with the full A minor chord on the 5th fret really makes the song on a dobro.
