Am I the only one that would like to see a Zookies thumb pick angled the other way?

You might be, but I guess we'll find out from any Zookies players here.

I have rarely used any other thumbpick than BlueChip since 2012.

I can’t see a reason to have them angled the other way, unless maybe you’re a lefty. Zookies is all I use, I can’t get comfortable with the blue chip, tried twice.

Not a lefty, at least not for guitar playing. I use straight Dunlops. The Zookies give more of a strike angle against the strings when I use them instead of less, unless that’s what I’m supposed to be going for.

Heat up the pick (heat gun or try very hot water) and bend it any way you want. I ruined a lot of picks in my pre-Blue Chip days...

Don't understand why you would want them angled backwards. That would defeat the purpose of why they're angled in the first place. Used to bend Golden Gates before switching to Blue Chips a long time ago.

Is there any chance of posting a short video showing your right hand technique? I played around with the concept this morning and can't easily get my hand into a position that would benefit from the pick angle you describe. My hand naturally angles a bit toward the palm rest, and my thumb kicks out to make the straight thumbpick hit squarely. To use a pick with a "reverse-Zookies" angle, I'd have to pivot my wrist away from the palm rest and aim the pick toward the fingerboard - for me it's very uncomfortable.

Apologies if I'm not understanding any of this. I, of course, support whatever works for you - just very curious!
