I have found that if I tune while sitting, and everything is good, then stand it sounds wrong, when I check the tuner it went a bit flat. So, apparently the neck must be lifting a very small amount. I have had this Dobro apart in the past, know my way around it, so looks like tightening again? However, is this somewhat normal? I don't notice any lifting at the heel, but then I can't really see it when standing.

Just tune it in the playing position.

Re-tune as necessary through the performance.

Is it that common? I have done the retune, but thought it might be an issue to solve.

I might retune 3-4 times during a set due to string wear, temperature, humidity, my ears, whatever.

I wouldn't worry unless there were seriously unusual changes, like half to whole step changes.

That's why gawd invented electronic tuners.

I wouldn’t worry about it. I tune after every song when performing. Professionals I’ve seen do as well.

OK, guess I'll stop 'fretting'. I will often recheck, but I was sitting, mainly to see better, then stood and my ears said what?
