Two types.
the spring-loaded one is faster to handle, the threaded one does not interfere with playing

Just a thought. Would a piece of fret wire set into the wood on your spring loaded capo be worth the effort?

I applaud your creativity Jan.

Though I have to say the spring loaded capo would bother me because of the height. Even with low dobro capos it can be a little awkward for many of us when the bar hand is playing next to a somewhat tall capo.

The other one looks very much like the old Beard capo that Paul stopped producing 14-15 years ago, though yours has a wooden top rather than the brass Paul used. How does it sound? The Beard had a  bone edge on the bottom that contacted the tops of the strings. If yours is wood and there is nothing else underneath I wonder if that might mute the tone.
