Do you have any current news about Recording King ? There site no longer has any YouTube videos that I can find of their dobros. Do they have a new website that you can direct me to ?
The website is still up, but the videos that were there have been deleted.
St. Louis Music, parent company of among other brands, Alvarez Guitars, has acquired Recording King. I am going to email them to see if they can get the more desirable wider neck and a wider nut on the Phil Leadbetter model instead of the too narrow 1 3/4" nut where a lot of guys have done modifications.
I have no clue if they'll pay any attention to my idea or just blow me off, but if they continue with the Leadbetter, maybe with the help of Phil's son Matt it'll get done.

Not sure if that's going to happen. I don't know him well, but I have met him a couple times in the past at music events here in Northern California.
He said recently after this all went down that The Music Link/RK owes him several hundred thousand dollars in royalties. How this ties in with St. Louis Music remains to be seen. Check out the interview here:

I have seen several posts on Facebook where Greg talks about doing design work for Gold Tone and shows pictures of the banjos that he designed for them.
