No way to tell. It's a 1984 s/n. Might be a bargain. Might be a disaster.

Have you seen/played the guitar?

You must understand. That's meaningless to me.

I only deal with tangibles. Condition. Model (can't tell by s/n) RECENT set up (40y guitars, 90% probability it needs a setup), finish.

You name it.

Sooooo...?

Not picking on you. Just the reality of the situation and question.

Well he is a member here. He has been a friend for a while. It comes with a case. This is kind of a memory I would be buying. He is 93.

I think that is a bargain. They are asking more on Reverb.

The late Frank Harlow would try not to work on those. I asked him about those. Wanted something cheaper to carry around the country in our rv.

He said many were just bad.

But for likely $400 a good luthier might be able to help. Set up.

Well I wanted something to remeber him by. And, the guitar sounds like it should and a hardshell case. He might tune it up and get it going. I felt like for the price I could not go wrong.

That’s not much to spend if it has sentimental value and you’ll likely never try to sell it.

I would never sell it. And being some what built similar to the originals. I would like for the Bro Oswald,  Uncle Josh and others of that genre
