I will begin with a disclaimer: I am already dobro poor. I have six, plus two lap steels as well as other instruments. Not in the market, but I love to window shop. Reverb, ebay, Elderly.com, Gruhn's guitars and others. All that being said, this is a very good website to browse dobros (resophonic guitars by any name). You have a beard model 47 (with a biscuit bridge). Not everybodies cup of tea, but I have one that I use in D tuning and I love it. Priced way below market (it's a Beard). There's also two Appalachians, a Byrl, and others, all reasonably priced. If you are looking for a quality instrument, they're here. That's my two cents. David
Purchased a Short Mountain one here years ago. Keep it tuned in D and it has been one of my favorites.
My experiences here have all been positive (2 equipment trades, 2 instrument purchases). I do wish more people would leave feedback after a transaction in order to lessen the suspicions (mine is only a +1).
I have sold two dobros (to the same person) and bought a JD aura pedal on this site. I don't remember giving feedback, but I look here often and consider the descriptions more honest than some (Ebay for instance).
