Does anyone know where you can buy a cover plate and tail piece for resonator guitars, for a spider bridge. Reso outfitters is all but useless anymore they are always out of stock on pretty much everything they claim to sell. And all the ones from Amazon and eBay are just cheap tin and look like the hand rest on them are bent down.
Not looking to spend a fortune, just trying to put together a Reso for the grandson from a body I had, but would like something other than Amazon crap. Thanks!
Contact Beard anyways. They'll give you an estimate on availability. I'm betting the raw material (sheet brass) is/was tariff effected. Once it gets into this country it then must go through a lengthy manufacturing and finishing process.
At least that the way it worked when I handled a bit of the process.

Thanks for the replies, I took Howard’s advice and got ahold of Beard. I am just going to wait until they get stock in, cause I really wanted black parts.
Fred I did check out 12th fret and they do have the golden gate cover plate but it’s $140 with the tax and shipping. So I figured I will wait on Beard and get what I want. Cheers!

Not very - I bought a nice National Scheerhorn coverplate several years ago when I received a tour of National in San Luis Obispo. I wanted it because it has removable palm rest which to me is a no-brainer, I don't know why they all don't come that way. It was either for an existing guitar or a future build, but I have yet to use it.
It has a different screw pattern than Beard coverplates.
