Hi folks, new to the forum and I have a question about a resonator guitar I just got. Firstly I am new to these so I know very little about them. Anyways the one I have has no markings anywhere that I could find and I cannot locate anything that looks like it. The headstock looks to be a danelectro shape but I can't confirm that it is. I have attached some pictures. If anyone can tell me anything about it I would appreciate it very much, thanks in advance, Cheers,

Based on a DelVecchio design  Del Vecchio . A real oddball. If authentic or a clone they were designed to use only nylon strings unless modified.

Welcome Glen,

Right off it looks like a Del Vecchio Dinamico. These are from Brazil, they  were first made in the 1930s. If I am correct, this one could be from the 1960s.  There have also been a couple companies who have made copies.

Chet Atkins was the American guitarist who put these on the map.

There is only one photo on your home page, of the body. I'd like to see the others, particularly the headstock since it reminds you of a Danolectro. The Del Vecchios I've seen typically have a slotted headstock.

Here is Chet and Earl Klugh on one of my all time favorites:

Here is another incredible guitarist on a Del Vecchio, Eric Johnson. It was a gift from Chet Atkins!

Link to a Del Vecchio with a solid headstock, including the badge.

yep everything looks right except the headstock. Now that I look close around the neck I am pretty sure the neck has been changed.
Guess that would explain the headstock.

Sounds logical.

Cool, the new neck appears to have a truss rod, they probably modified it to use steel strings.

I've also just learned that those guitars had issues with fret placement, so intonation was poor when playing regular style on them.
