The D-57 was added to the Deco line to give the "classic" tones of the 27/37 a bigger voice. Utilizes the "thinner" body of the classics while utilizing the larger "E" body profile. FWIW, The last few times I saw the Earls of Leicester Jerry was play the 57.

The Radio Standard (in my mind) is a next generation continuation of what was the Vintage-R, albeit a bit more contemporary in voice due to an "open" internal design. The body is deeper that the Deco line with the smaller R body profile. Like all R bodied Beards, the RS is a very "articulate" guitar with fewer acoustic overtones/artifacts than larger body counterparts.

The RS E body will sound more "complex" or contemporary than the smaller body counterpart.

Both guitars are built with Finnish birch laminate.

If you can articulate what your preferred characteristics you can always call Denny or Paul at the Beard shop and discuss. They are excellent in understanding what preferences are important to the player and ultimately delivering what the player expected.
