Has anyone tried D'Addario Chrome strings on a resonator?

I currently use D'Addario Chrome flat-wound strings on my Gretsch hollow body, and I really like them. In addition to sounding great, they last seemingly forever. I also use flats (Magma flatground PBs) on my acoustics, including my resonator. I'm just curious to see if anyone here has tried Chromes on their resonator/

Aren't the Chromes electric guitar strings?

I sort of recall mentioning to you since you joined here that the most of our members are lap style players though there are of course some roundneck "Spanish style" players here. That being the case it would never occur to me to try these on a lap style acoustic resonator, and if it did, the gauges aren't right for lap style dobro in G and/or D tuning  in the current sets.

But if you decide to go for it, let us know how it turns out.

...as a follow up, I've never tried stainless steel strings on a resonator. D'Addario characterizes these as "mellow," and if these stainless steel strings are mellow like nickel, I'd probably hate them on a resonator - nickel sound dead to me when I've tried them.

The weird thing is stainless steel strings are historically known to be brighter than nickel for electric guitars, but that's not how D'Addario seems to describe the Chromes. And traditional stainless steel stings are known to be harder on frets, but perhaps that isn't the case with the Chromes since they are flat wounds.
