If you are like most of us you'll easily differentiate as the forefinger is much smaller than the middle finger. Once you get them fitted it'll probably be obvious which goes where.

A dab of paint in the lettering. Starting with index finger - red, white, blue (if necessary)

I use a dab of white-out (remember that stuff?) on the index finger pick for a quick, dummy proof visual method.

When I store them, I take the middle finger pick and push it onto the index finger pick so that it fits inside. I just have to remember to put my index finger in first when I put them on. The thumbpick clips on nicely to the pair of stored picks, so they're always stuck together when not in use.

Mine are so close to each other they won't nest like that, but that would be handy!

I asked my wife if we had any white out and she handed me this roll of tape stuff! Might substitute for some things but not this!

For years I have used finger nail polish. Clean the pick with alcohol first.

I use a metal letter stamp…on the band it never comes off. I or M.

I take a nail set and put a dimple in the band of my index finger pick.
Alternatively, I'll file a v-shaped groove into the top edge of the index pick's band.
That way, I can tell quickly by feel which one goes where. Handy for dark backstage areas and such.

Yeah, I've never even thought of marking 'em. Your fingers are different sizes, right? So are the pick openings.

By mistake I ordered large pics. My fingers are a medium.

I use one of each. It is obvious.

I apologize wholeheartedly for ever offending you! But my fingers are fairly close to the same size. Close enough to make visual id rough, but different enough to make the fit matter. Get it?
