That looks like a Ron Tipton bar.   Last time I bought a new RT-2 bar directly from Ron (several years ago) they were around $100 a piece.  They are still made by Chris Simpkins of Sim Tech Music.  If you flip it around and post a picture of the other end, I should be able to tell you what version it is.

Sure thing. That’s an RT-1 model. The brand new ones are going for $140 from Chris. If that one is in excellent condition, I don't think $80 or $90 is out of the question.

Well, it is for me!  I only paid $30 something for mine from Mr Beard, when he had the RT-1's on his website for a long time at that price, when I decided to try one.  I would never even consider buying the new stainless version for $140 or anywhere near that price either, from the NEW Tipton design owner/entrepreneur.  Maybe people who are earning a good wage, (instead of being retired on a low fixed income) can and will buy high priced goods like that, but I doubt they are flying out of there, either!  I could be wrong, of course, but not for me.

Wow!  I had no idea Ron was charging that much more recently, before retiring.  Still, a far piece away from a price that I would pay, but you want what you want, I guess, and the money doesn't matter as much sometimes.  Glad I already have one; I was just looking for a backup in case it got damaged.  And I've got other bars that sound good too; it's just the hand comfort I found better for me with the RT-1.

As with any handmade item, price is dependent on what kind of wage a craftsman is willing to work for, when pricing is decided.  Rather than factory produced items, of course there will be a large difference there with automation.  I also have been out of touch with prices like these since I haven't played dobro in 10 years at least.  Got to get out more, or read more!
