There’s not much difference in straps with regard to doing the job. They’ll all do that. Keep in mind that dobros are heavy compared to a conventional guitar. So you might want to consider something with a wider strap.

Whatever you decide, make sure the strap is designed for a square neck guitar. (Assuming you have a square neck guitar, of course)

I have the Levy's cotton strap (actually 2, one for each of my dobros). It's $20 and won't win any awards but gets the job done on the few occasions I play standing.

I bought this strap from Franklin Strap. Works fine, I keep it on my Dobro, but hardly ever stand. When I do, it's comfortable and secure.

+1 for the Franklin strap. Since the Webb straps have gotten quite expensive and somewhat difficult to get a hold of, I ended up with one of these Franklin straps for my old Oahu and am very happy with it. They are exceptional straps for the price point.

I'm building another dobro, so I just decided to get another. This time, I am getting the caramel quick release, in case I don't want the strap on all the time. That will make 3 Frankliin leather straps for me. I also put one on my Martin.

Well, I got my Franklin strap Saturday and honestly I’m not very impressed with it. The leather is good, but the general construction isn’t very practical. First, it’s the first strap I’ve bought that wasn’t readily adaptable to a quick release using the D’Addario release. As far as adjustability it’s even worse. The buckle arrangement on the lower section is stiff and awkward with a lot of excess material. On the upper section, it is adjustable using two metal nuts and bolts. Again, not very practical. It’s going to be relegated to my Regal round neck which I rarely play as it seems to be a one guitar strap; IOW, set it once and forget it after trimming off the excess.
