would you happen to know exactly what screwdriver size is right for the (flathead) screws used to secure a Beard cover plate?
Specifically the instrument is a decade old BlackBeard.

To my knowledge slotted, flat head screwdrivers, particularly blade thickness, are not sized. You just have to look for one that works. Blade thickness, an appropriate length for the shank and enough of a handle to get a grip.
I usually use an electric driver with bits. I cannot find a marking on the bit which I use and don't have a way to accurately measure blade thickness.
