Hello everybody, it's been a while since I posted here. Wishing you all healthy, well, and pickin'. I hope you don't mind me playing resos without slide (in this video). I'm not much of a slide player, even after all these years.

So I'm currently finishing up my record which hopefully will be available in the next few weeks (or months). It has 14 tracks in it, and all of 'em are songs that I made up in the recent years, and some even date back to 2015. No covers, because I honestly suck at playing covers (there are so many great musicians who's a million times better at it than me) . So I would always rather be suck at playing my own sucky stuff.

Some of you might already know a couple of songs, but most of 'em are songs that I haven't published anywhere.

Just the usual drill, I only use one mic and try to wrap 'em all up in one session in my so called "stage studio" aka bedroom. Minimal editing, because I'm very low on budget, and gonna have to rely on getting it right from the get go, and all kinds of mistakes I make will be there, too. Awesome!

This album will be a Blues-ish, Ragtime-ish, Jazz-ish, Folk-ish, and so many other ishes. Because without the -ish, I'm worried that it's going to be an insult to all the real guys (my late heroes). So consider this my second love letter to my inspirators.

Gotta warn you that this is a long video, and most won't even make it to the 2nd song.

I was able to listen to it all at once, holding a piece of trim steady while the epoxy dried! Your style reminds me of a Steve James Fingerstyle Blues Songbook CD I have.

I just found out that Steve passed away in January. What a loss….

Wow, thank you very much for listening to the whole thing Mr. Patterson! Good to know that your hands're still steady while listening, sir.

I saw a couple of Mr. James' videos back in the day and must've "stole" things from his playing, one of the best for sure! Didn't know that he passed away, until now. May he rest in peace...
