I've been looking for info on Curtis Burch. I found his old web site on archive.org and it seems to have stopped being updated after around 2013 or so. I am guessing he may have passed away but have not found an obituary anywhere. If anyone has info, links, etc. I would appreciate them being posted in a reply.

Curtis Burch and wife live in Kentucky. ResoGat honored him in 2019 and there is some info about him on our website, resogat.org. Curtis has neuropathy in his hands and can no longer play an instrument due to the horrible nerve pain. He has a Facebook page but hasn't posted anything recently. There are a few You Tube videos of a band he and his wife had and of course the New Grass Revival videos. Curtis grew up close to Tut Taylor in GA and Tut would take him to festivals, etc when Curtis was a teenager. Curtis and Tut were great friends. There is a YT video of Tut and Curtis at Tut's house in Wilkesboro, NC. Tut kept a recording machine going most all the time and left those tapes, etc to Corey Lee McQuade. Corey may know of other info or music from Curtis. Curtis met Bobby Wolfe through Tut and Curtis has or had a Wolfe reso.

Curtis is still alive and above ground. He is one of my "Friends" on Facebook, and though he doesn't post very often, occasionally he will write something in the FB Dobroholics group. He was definitely one of my early influences on dobro - great player as well as being a multi-instrumentalist.

Thanks, Dobrojan and MarkinSonoma. I generally don't do Facebook so didn't look there. Glad to know Curtis is still around but sorry to hear about the neuropathy. :-(
