Vic........your ear would have to make that determination. But my ear took the MA6 between the two. I think you have to look at the way Mike plays and sort of figure his way is how it should be played. The E is no slouch, but my ear liked the 6.

The MA6 is a birch ply construction. The E is solid maple with a maple top or it comes in mahogany.

I played them both side by side for about 1-1/2 hours and chose the MA-6 but they are very close.
I tried them out at Andy's Guitars in Tallahassee, FL. They are great, let me play all I wanted and didn't push me, then made a great deal. They sell all sorts of guitars and they had several brands of Resonators as well.
