I just got my Bradley hardened stainless steel bar yesterday. Talk about SMOOOOOTH! The playing surface is buffed to a mirror finish (looks like chrome) & glides over the strings every bit as nice as my chromed brass bar. There is absolutely none of the 'scratchiness' often associated w/SS bars. The rest of the steel has a nice dull finish so it doesn't slip 'n slide around in my hand like my slick finished chrome bar does. Nicely contoured grip & notably sharper ends than my Dunlop for nice popping pull-offs. I'm very happy w/my Bradley steel & can highly recommend one of these to anyone considering purchasing a new bar. Elmer also has chromed brass bars & (IMO) the best capos made. I certainly agree about the Bradley capo -- I have had mine the better part of a year and it is the best capo I have every used.

I think his capo is the best I've tried too. I've only used mine on the 2nd fret but had zero loss of volume, tone, or sustain! For those interested, here are some pictures of my bar: Elmer isn't making this stuff anymore, but has several left in a few different lengths, this one is the length I asked for (3.10").
