Hi Grizz and the folks, I;m from southern England, and I play in duos here and there, and in one or two, we play old hokum material from the '20s and '30s. In some duos (or solo) I'm a singer guitarist, but in others I enjoy being the sideman with dobro, Weissenborn and mandolin. as my weapons of choice. I have my own style based around intros, outros and licks as the song needs, and play almost always in C...CgcgcE. The Silly Moustache.

I have a "Gosden" Weisenborn build by a local lutheir.

Do you have a YouTube video playing outside a store in the winter with a guitar player? I can't find what I did with it and I thought it may be you. I have my Wessie in D but I have and Oahu that I tuned to C - C G C G C D haven't tried yours year. Stinar recommended the one you use but i am Working with a Steve Dawson instructional video and this is the tuning used. In any event it is great to have you here. Mike

Hi Grizz, no i wouldn't have been me playing outside a store. I limit my expeditions to nice secure Village halls and Function rooms.
I have never had any guidance about playing Weissenborn - I've got a fair sized library of original Sam Ku West etc.., but I really don't play like that or like Ben Harper. Jut my approach I suppose. Somewhere there is a You tube thingy of me playing it when I first got it,but it's not very good.

I'll try to find the link.
