Okay Western Swing fans, I'm not trying go electric on you but here is a link to a bunch of free downloadable recordings of the great Joaquin Murphey. No reso content but plenty of old time Western Swing roots. Just scroll down the page a bit until you see "Download Part 1, 2 and 3". This is a real treasure of no pedal steel guitar. Enjoy!

	jimraygilliam says: 5/17/2011 8:19:05 AM Dan (and all), I really like that Joaquin Murphey stuff a lot! He always reminded me of the lap steel equivalent of Charlie Christian. I play some lap steel and have been working on some of his stuff. I just bought my first 8 string Dobro ( a Gold Tone) which is due for delivery in a couple of days. I can't wait to try some of it on Dobro as well.
