I've been playing guitar and ukelele since I was 4 or 5. Started banjo in high school, pedal steel and mandolin some in college. Started playing dobro in 2002. I grew up listening to hawaiian music, my home state. My parents sang in hawaiian shows. Bluegrass hit home because of the acoustic instruments and vocal harmonies that are also in hawaiian music. I mainly play dobro these days in local bands. Recently had a lesson from the "Legend", it has changed my world.
