Hi Folks………….I’d like to plan to have one more Dobro Meeting before August……….on a Saturday. The agenda will be typical but also I would like to make up a daily activities/agenda for the days we will be at our Dobro Tent at AFBA Festival in August….Tent dates are August 2 thru 4th.
I suggest we be setup and man the tent Friday through Sunday. I also am thinking about having “activities” each of those days from 12:00 noon until 5: 00 pm .
Joe Sullivan informed me that we will have electricity available and I have a 200 watt PA system and mics if we want to consider using them. Also we can use my laptop for music and images.
I am thinking each days to have speakers, teaching sessions, demo sessions and jam sessions and also give visitors a chance to put a Dobro on their lap and “have at it”.
These are just a few of the thoughts I am having about this and really need your help and suggestions to make it educational and fun for everyone.
Coming back to a possible Dobro Meeting, I have three dates in mind and would like feedback from each of you as to whether you are interested in attending another meeting plus will you “pitch in” at the AFBA Festival Dobro Tent? As I hear back from you I will compile a list and begin setting daily agendas.
The three dates for a Dobro Meeting that work for me are, June 15………….July 20……July 27. As far as I can see these do not conflict with any Bluegrass Festivals.
