I've been a bass player (semi pro - never a full time job but lots of local gigs) for 35 years. I've played guitar for most of that time but never as my primary instrument. I picked up the mandolin a few years back and I'm sort of intermediate level. I love hearing the resonator guitar and got a wild hair to learn it. I'm currently subscribed to Andy Halls Artist works site and it is definitely worth the money. I've gone from knowing nothing about the resonator guitar to the ability to play a few things that sound OK in a few months. I've still got along way to go, but I'm enjoying the instrument and the journey.
