Resonator Guitar Lovers Online
Last year (2014) I called Tom Warner in West Virginia to build me a curly maple resonator guitar. I sent him a business check in April of that year and recieved the guitar on May 6th 2014. It was done in an amber finish with a legend cone and a poinsetta cover plate. (serial #48). A post and baffle system was used instead of the ususal sound well construction. All the latest techniques were used by Tom in its construction. It came with D"Addario EJ-42 strings as well. A very well built carrying case (hard shell) was sent along with the new guitar. It also has a Shallar strap lock which I use with a Levy's guitar strap made of soft 21/2 inch leather. The tone is a cross between a Burke,Beard,Meredith and a Guernsey reso which I fine to be what I was looking for in a guitar but at the fraction of the cost of those instruments. When I first called Tom he assured me that the tone I was after would be found in this instrument. He has since moved to Florida and has set up his shop there to continue to build the very best resos you can find. Originally, I went on the Reso Nation classified section to see if I could get one of the other afore-mentioned guitars but the prices were out of this world so I finally decided to have one built to my specifications instead . I am glad I did !!

I may add... the Levy's strap I mentioned is suede, adjustable and very comfortable, medium brown in color. I have different straps on all four of my resos..
